Bronze Statutes and Sculptures in india trace their origin to the reign of Raja Raja Chola of Srirangam. With the fall of the great Chola empire, bronze sculptures almost vanished until it was revived by the Hoysala kings almost two hundred years later.
The Hoysala bronze stautes feature intricate carvings and fine embellishments. The statutes are created with the "pancha-loha" metal alloy. The soft metal is perfect for carving the delicate and fine patterns.
Each Bronze Sculpture workshop is headed by master craftsmen. It’s the Master Craftsmen’s duty to oversees his team of apprentices and make sure each bronze statute meets the exacting standards set by the forbearers of this ancient art form.
